Privacy notice for applications
This notice covers the application form on jobs.citexnode.com. For everything else, the CitexNode privacy policy applies. The German version is the binding one.

What we process
What you enter in the application form: role, name or nickname, email address, optionally your Discord name, your text about yourself and your experience, and the confirmation that you are at least 16. Briefly also your IP address, to fend off too many requests in a short time. It is not stored.
Purpose and legal basis
To review your application for a volunteer role and to get in touch with you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to an agreement at your request). The bot protection and the request limit rest on our legitimate interest in protecting the form from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How your application reaches us
The application is not stored in a database. It is sent as an email through our own mail server to the team's mailbox. You receive a confirmation at the address you entered. Only the team members who decide on applications may read it.
Bot protection
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Turnstile checks your browser without setting advertising or tracking cookies. Technical data such as your IP address and browser details are sent to Cloudflare, including to the United States; the basis is the EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long
We delete your application no later than six months after we have decided on it. If you join the team, we keep only what we need to work together. If you withdraw your application, we delete it right away.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to info@citexnode.de or simply reply to the confirmation email. You can also complain to a supervisory authority; the competent one is the Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz Sachsen-Anhalt, Leiterstraße 9, 39104 Magdeburg, Germany.
